Garcia, Hernández, Sawhney & Bermudez Partner Nadia Bermudez and Senior Associate Eran Bermudez were the featured speakers at the Imperial County Human Resources Association’s monthly luncheon. They presented a workshop entitled “Disability Discrimination and Accommodation: Navigating the Complex Currents of California Employment Law.” The presentation included a refresher course of the basics of engaging in the good faith interactive process in finding reasonable accommodation, as well as a discussion of complex case law authority impacting the process. Nadia Bermudez’s practice focuses on corporate employers, and Eran Bermudez’s practice focuses on the representation of school districts and other public entities. Eran Bermudez (a graduate of UC Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law) and Nadia Bermudez (a graduate of Stanford Law School) are sisters and practice together at Garcia, Hernández, Sawhney & Bermudez. They hail originally from the Imperial Valley. The Imperial Valley Human Resources Association is an affiliate member of the Society for Human Resource Management, also known as SHRM.
