Garcia, Hernandez, Sawhney & Bermudez, LLP Equity Partner Mary Hernandez has been selected to the California Bar Foundation’s Board of Directors. The California Bar Foundation is a non-profit organization that distributes grants to other organizations, courts, bar associations for law-related projects as well as awarding scholarships to law school students. The Foundation also encourages charitable efforts of California’s lawyers and a variety of education and outreach programs.
“I am honored to be selected to the Board of Directors,” said Ms. Hernandez. “I am looking forward to working with my fellow board members to advance the Foundation’s values of diversity, access, and public interest in California’s legal profession.”
Mary is currently a board member of the Youth Law Center and is a past president of the Hispanic National Bar Association. This year, Stanford Lawyer magazine highlighted her commitment to community and diversity in its Spring 2014 issue.
