Mr. Geoff Tong is a Partner in Garcia Hernández Sawhney, LLP’s Los Angeles Area office. Geoff leads the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group and the firm’s Insurance, Managed Health Care, and Employee Benefits Litigation Group. He has extensive experience, over 34 years, litigating in both federal and state trial and appellate courts and has a broad range and depth of experience. His experience includes the successful resolution of many complex, multi-million disputes contract and business disputes.

Geoff has extensive experience handling commercial, real estate, and other contract and tort claims. These areas include breach of contract, fraud, unfair business practices, banking, employee benefits, trade secrets, and commercial real estate.

Geoff has over 33 years of experience handling first-party coverage and “bad faith” litigation matters involving life, health, disability, property, and commercial insurance policies; and ERISA/employee benefit plans for insurers, managed care organizations, employers, and third-party administrators ranging from Fortune 100 companies to regional companies. He has extensive experience in matters involving marketing and sales, and unfair competition.

He has been the Co-Chair of the International Claim Association’s Law Committee and is a Member of its Nominating Committee.

Geoff has authored numerous articles, papers, and presentations, including at the International Claim Association Annual Education Conference, Association of Fraternal Benefit Counsel Annual Meeting, American Bar Association (Life, Health and Disability Committee), International Claim Association, American Conference Institute, and other insurance industry conferences.
