Lawrence Joe Participates in AAPI Faith Alliance Conference

Garcia, Hernandez, Sawhney & Bermudez, LLP attorney Lawrence Joe participated in the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Faith Alliance’s 7th Annual Lighting the Community Conference in Washington D.C. The White House invited AAPI Christian leaders for the first time to a White House Briefing as part of the Conference.

Lawrence attended the Conference as the Co-Chair of Asian American and Pacific Islander Christians for Social Justice (AAPI-CSJ). The group’s mission is to share information about social justice issues and how they relate to personal Christian faith and values in order that the AAPI communities can work to help address the needs of people and the world. The group first met in 2012 and since has held several seminars on current social issues, including healthcare, immigration reform, and LGBTQ concerns.
