Benjamin Nieberg

Benjamin Nieberg is an attorney in the firm’s San Diego office and specializes in education law, particularly in the area of special education. He has served as general counsel for school districts and has represented other governmental entities in personnel and student issues, contracts, labor negotiations, and governance issues.

Prior to practicing education law, Nieberg practiced anti-trust and complex business litigation as well as asset-based financial transactional law in Los Angeles. After obtaining his Juris doctor law degree from Boalt Hall, he clerked for Judge Harry Pregerson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Los Angeles.

Special education law, including state and federal complaints, developing student policies, and district compliance with Brown Act, the Political Reform Act, and the Public Records Act.
