Aerobel Banuelos is a partner in the San Diego office of Garcia Hernández Sawhney, LLP. Her practice covers most aspects of transactional work relating to public agency and special district representation, including water law issues, public works and purchasing issues, and real property issues. Banuelos frequently represents Oxnard School District and other firm clients in finance and transactional matters.

Banuelos began her legal career as an assistant city attorney, working in the legal department of the city of Chicago in the division of Finance and Economic Development. She dedicates a significant portion of her practice to municipal finance matters and has served as bond counsel, disclosure counsel or issuer’s counsel in connection with the issuance of general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, certificates of participation and tax allocation bonds.
